Chef Andries Bezuidenhout

With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Andries Bezuidenhout – our Executive Chef, has honed his craft in various culinary roles across different countries.

His journey began in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he earned a promotion to Chef de Partie at Sinclairs Signature Specialties after completing his chef qualification in 2005.

Chef Andries Bezuidenhout ventured to Ireland in 2007, serving as a Sous Chef in three distinct establishments under the same brand.

Returning to South Africa in 2008, our distinguished Chef assumed his role of Executive Sous Chef at the Gallagher Gourmet Catering Convention Centre. This experience led to his appointment as Executive Chef at Centurion Lake Hotel in 2014. Subsequently, he contributed as a Sous Chef at Leriba Lodge, Centurion, in 2017.

His international journey continued in 2019 when he embraced the role of Sous Chef at the Marriott Marquis City Centre in Qatar. He played a pivotal role in establishing Crossroads, an all-day dining restaurant featuring global cuisine. This experience culminated in his transfer to the New York Steak House, where their passion for the culinary arts thrived.

In 2021, Chef Andries embarked on a new chapter as Executive Chef at My Pond Hotel in Port Alfred, Eastern Cape. His profound passion for the industry fuels their commitment to continuous learning and skill development. As Executive Chef, he believes in leading by example and immersing himself in culinary creation.

The Executive Chef is dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences and is eager to contribute his expertise to your enjoyment of our Lily Restaurant.

– Wednesday:  Fish & Chips – Served with tartar sauce and fresh lemon wedges – R99 p/pd with Tartar Sauce a

– Thursday: Surf & Turf – 200g Rump steak topped with garlic prawns served with either chips or rice and a creamy garlic or pepper sauce – R169 p/p

Friday: Join us for an African Braai Special: Pap and Chakalaka, chicken thighs, beef chuck, boerewors, sweet corn on the cob, and potato salad—R155 p/p.

-Saturday: Snack basket: Pork ribs, Jalapeno ribs, beef samosas, and chicken strips served with chips and sweet chilli sauce – R95 p/p.
